Optical Challenges in the Detector Applications
Infrared detectors work by detecting infrared rays emitted by the human body. The detector collects the infrared radiation from the outside and concentrates it on the infrared sensor. Radiation-sensitive components must be very sensitive to infrared radiation with a wavelength of around 10 μm. In order to be sensitive enough to the infrared radiation of the human body, its radiation surface is usually covered with a special optical filter, so that the interference of the environment is obviously in control. And the acquisition of multiple fields of view is achieved through reflective focusing composed of multi-normal small mirrors, which is called a reflective optical system when the light is concentrated on the sensor. The other way is through a transmissive optical system, which is a multi-faceted lens-Fresnel lens, which is focused on the infrared sensor through the Fresnel lens.
Therefore, quality optics with reliable reflection, transmission, and blocking levels are significant in the detecting optical system.

No, we don’t sell shelf products. We offer customization service according to your requirements for specific projects or brands equivalent.What substrates do you use for custom optical components?
Our most frequently used substrates are Zinc Selenide (ZnSe), Zinc Sulfide (ZnS), Silicon, Germanium (Ge), Copper, Aluminum, Mo, PMMA, Chalcogenide Glasses, etc.Can you help to customize according to samples we offered?
We highly recommend producing according to specific drawings. Since there are lots of indexes which can not be obtained by measuring samples, such as requirements of material.What's your MOQ for customized projects?
